Job Description: | *Agency fee payable by successful candidates*
Requirements:
- Must possess a degree in Civil Engineering
- Must be able to understand, converse and read English (must be quite proper English cos need to send quotations to clients as well)
- QS experience in Singapore Construction sector would be advantageous
- Must attend two interviews – one with agent and one with client. Being in Singapore for interview with client will be advantageous
- Hardworking, willing to learn and proactive. Cannot say everything also don’t know, so slow
- Trustworthy and responsible
- Meticulous with an eye for details
- Possess good communication, negotiation and coordination skills and has ability to communicate with people at all levels
- Knowledge of and experience in using basic AutoCAD and reading drawings
- Able to work independently and is a team player
Work Duties:
- Prepare tender after receiving and interpreting the drawings. Material rates will be provided but candidate is required to derive the quantity needed and total sum of cost
- Prepare variation orders. Same process as tender preparation
- Liaise and establish rapport with all related parties including company clients, contractors, and consultants on certification of claims for payments
- On-the-job training will be provided but solid QS foundation/experience is necessary so that will not spend too much time learning everything
